Vision

Information

This site exists primarily to expand upon the information in the Ways to Eat eBook. It will include elements of the diet profiles, plus more diets which couldn’t be included in the book due to time and length requirements by my university. The original version aimed to include:
If it fits your macros (IIFYM)
Juicing
Raw veganism & High Carb Low Fat (HCLF)
Modified paleo
Detoxing/Teatoxing
Carb cycling
the “standard American/British/western diet”(i.e. what we actually tend to eat- the fast food laden, sugar-burdened diet toted by the media)
Clean eating
Gluten-free

All in a similar profile-style to what is seen in the book. I hope to slowly make these available online as extras.

This will also be a directory for resources on these various eating styles- podcasts, films, youtube channels, websites, anything that could help you in your journey.

Commentary

Reviews of food/nutrition documentaries and television programmes, along with critical commentary of nutrition in the media. Below is a quick example of the day-to-day frustrations I would love to blog about with how nutrition science is represented in news:

This kind of reporting does a disservice to readers.

Discussion

I am striving to create an atmosphere of critical thinking and discussion about nutrition – whether it’s how certain diets are portrayed in the media or genuine confusion about the nutrition advice you’re getting from your GP, the television, or your magazine. The audience of this site will be encouraged to participate in a wider discussion about health and wellness and how this can relate to food in modern society.
